Erica is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach who loves to cook, travel, and is a true foodie at heart!

Erica graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Montclair State University and has worked in the corporate world for over fifteen years.

Through her own research and experiences, combined with becoming an advocate for her own health and encouraging family members’ to be advocates for their health, she continued to embrace her passion for nutrition, health & wellness. She went on to study holistic nutrition and graduated from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) as a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.

Her professional corporate experience in identifying the root causes of business issues, providing recommendations, and working with clients to implement action plans has provided her with the foundation to apply her expertise to her passion in health & wellness. Erica uses her knowledge and experience to guide her clients to help them identify potential underlying root causes of their health concerns and work with them to create healthier, sustainable habits to implement in their daily life to support them on their health & wellness journey.

 

Erica’s Story

Erica struggled with her weight from a young age, as she was overweight as a child and her struggles with weight continued into adulthood. Growing up her family did not embrace a healthy lifestyle, as they ate the Standard American Diet (SAD), which included many processed and high-sugar foods. Fast-forward into adulthood and a demanding career working long hours, combined with business travel and the high stress of corporate life took its toll on her health. Work travel and late hours made for many take-out and restaurant food items rather than home cooked meals and the reliance on sugar and caffeine to get through the long days just fueled the fire. 

Personal health issues, as well as family members’ health issues over the years, have continued to influence behavioral changes in Erica’s health & lifestyle habits. Some of these health issues faced by her and/or her family members included: being overweight/weight management, pre-diabetes/diabetes, migraines, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. As challenging as these times have been, they were also pivotal times in her life.

Erica does not believe that pre-disposition is predestined.

She often had to remind herself that she could not control everything in her life, but recognized that making better food, health and lifestyle choices for herself was something in her power to control. 

Through her passions for cooking and nutrition, combined with her desire for improved health & wellness, she has done a complete overhaul of her lifestyle and positively transformed her life. She feels so much better by eating better and embracing a healthy lifestyle, which has greatly improved her overall health as a result. Her deep dive into nutrition, health and wellness along with the results of creating healthier habits have had a major positive impact on her overall health, well-being, and ultimately her life.

Erica truly believes that nourishing our bodies with real foods is key to living a healthier lifestyle.
